Argentine Tango
Class Levels & Progression:
Argentine Tango Technique & Fundamentals – Beginner/ Open Level
Argentine Tango de Pista – Tango de Pista (Salon Tango) in Argentine Tango is the traditional, social style emphasizing improvisation, close embrace, and elegant, intricate footwork.
Argentine Tango Folklore – Argentine Tango Folklore is a passionate, improvisational partner dance from Buenos Aires, focusing on a close connection, intimate walking (caminar), and expressive footwork like figures (ocho) and hooks (ganchos).
Ballroom
Ballroom
Ballroom dancing encompasses many different style or dances, which usually can be divided into 4 categories:
American Rhythm (Cha-Cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing, Bolero)
American Smooth (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz)
International Latin (Samba, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive)
International Standard (Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, and Quickstep)
In our Ballroom Classes, we focus on 1 dance style per class, per month and rotate the dance style taught each month. As part of the dance style rotation, we also offer Hustle and West Coast Swing along with all other styles indicated in bold above.
Ballet
Our Adult Ballet class is open to all ages and levels with a Beginner Friendly class format. Class always begins at the barre and then moves on to center exercises and movement across the floor. Ballet is wonderful for posture & alignment, increasing overall strength & flexibility, and helps boost and maintain cognitive function.
In our classes we will focus on proper technique and terminology, gentle stretching, turn technique, and more!
*Ballet Slippers are highly recommended. Wear comfortable clothing or workout attire that you are able to move and stretch in.
